A term often used to describe where your coffee comes from is “Single Origin”. This has a very broad definition that could mean your coffee comes from a single farm, a single region, or even a single country. Unless your supplier is specifically telling you where that coffee comes from, it could be any of the above mentioned.

Coffee is one of the most traded commodities in the world, however most producing nations have extremely high levels of poverty. These countries only receive about 10-20% of the profit from growing and harvesting coffee.
